How to fit a rear strut on a RENAULT CLIO II

Rear shock absorber removal

1) KEY TO SIMBOLS

2) Equipment

Special tools TOOL CODE
Torque wrench
Special tools TOOL CODE

3) To perform the following operations, you will need to:
4) Remove the protective cover. ( Figure 1 )

5) Unscrew the indicated nut and remove the cup. ( Figure 2 )

6) Lift the vehicle on the lift.
7) Disassemble the rear wheels.
8) Unscrew the indicated screw. ( Figure 3 )

9) Remove the shock absorber.

10) Be sure to dispose used components according to the laws. Ask local authorities for further information about recycling.
RE-ASSEMBLY

1) Attention
2) Always replace screws and self-locking nuts.
3) Fit the shock absorber.

4) Attention
5) Check the shock absorber correct positioning.
6) Proceed in reverse order to the dismounting.
7) Fit rear wheels.
8) Return the car to the ground.
9) Tighten the indicated nut. ( Figure 4 )
